One submission per author at a time; no multiple submissions or simultaneous submissions. If your essay is on submission somewhere else, please wait before sending it to us.
We are looking for essays in the range of 1,000 – 2,000 words.
Payment:
We are paying a flat-fee of $50 for nonfiction essays.
Rights:
We are buying the right to send your essay to our email subscribers, and soon-after, post it on our website.
How to Submit:
Looking for some inspiration?
Send us music reviews of albums that deeply explore a loss (like Dayseeker’s recent album Darksun)–we are especially interested in darker, heavy music with mostly clean vocals.
Send us a list of the top 10 or 50 books about resurrections, or dying… or time travel (and any of the other things we’ve listed on our novella submissions page).
Something something about funeral fashion?
A new movie or novel that explores the multiverse or the underworld or related themes? Send it!
We’ll post new ideas here when we have them, but hopefully this gives you a good starting point.
